Why this website?

We hope to use this website to keep Nye County Democrats informed of the Party's activities and also for Nye Democrats to be able to communicate with the Party's Central Committee.

Visit the Nye Gateway to Nevada's Rurals blog. The Nye Gateway to Nevada's Rurals blog is not an official Nye County Democratic Party publication. However, it provides daily information concerning matters related to Nye County.

Want to be the webmaster of this website?

You can. Just contact Loyal Watkins, Chairman of the Nye County Democratic Central Committee at Democratic Headquarters in Pahrump at (775) 751-9966. This website went dormant Wednesday, November 15, 2006.

If you take it over the $90 annual ISP subscription cost will continue until April 26, 2007 and then expire (unless the Nye Democrats keep it going).

In order to maintain the website it is recommended you have a broadband connection to the internet. Also, the website is maintained using Microsoft's FrontPage 2003 software, so you'll need that unless you use another compatible application.

The Nye County Democrats' Newsletter comes with the website. There are about 160 "subscribers" to the Newsletter which is published via email.

Then, about all you need is some time to daily update the site.
